Happy Birthday to the best mom in the world!

My mother’s birthday was August 15th. We had her and my dad over for dinner and this is the cake I made for her. It was a strawberry cake.

Hello Kitty

My baby girl turned 3 on August 7th. She wanted a Hello Kitty cake for her party. So, this is the cake I made for her. It is half chocolate and half white. It started out as two 10 inch square cakes.

Wedding Day!!

This week I did my first “big” wedding cake. It is the first 3 tier cake I have ever done. I am very excited with how it turned out and the bride seemed very pleased as well. These pictures show the progression and then the finished product. Thanks Shaun and Melanie for trusting me to do your cake.

Lady bug

A friend of mine from work asked me to make a ladybug cake for her little girl’s first birthday. I think it turned out very cute. The ladybug was a small cake just for the birthday girl.

A good friend of ours is a huge James Bond fan and he just turned 40 last week. So, his wife asked me to make this cake for him. I am pretty proud of how it turned out and he thought it was awesome!

Tangled

My Great Niece turned 2 and she LOVES the movie Tangled. So they asked me to make her and Tangled themed cake. The party was outside in July so I was afraid if I built a 3-D cake it wouldn’t hold up in the heat. So, She got this. I think it turned out really cute. It was an Oreo cake with Specialty Icing.

80 years young

My wonderful Dad turned 80 this month. You would never guess he is 80. He looks more like at least 10 years younger than he is. He doesn’t act his age either. He can build and/or fix just about anything. So I decided a toolbox cake would be very appropriate for the big celebration we had for him.

Pony Castle

We asked our oldest daughter what kind of party she wanted for her 5th birthday. She said she wanted a Pony party. Then when asked about the cake she wanted a pony castle and she wanted it to be purple and pink with flowers. So here is the end result. You can’t really see them in the pictures, but there are pink flowers on the round layer and on each on the towers.

4th Birthday

This was for a friend’s little Girl’s 4th birthday.

Giant Cupcake

This was for a friend’s Mom’s birthday. It is a giant cupcake with little cupcakes around it. Turned out very cute.

Macbook

A friend from work’s husband was graduating with a degree in computers and ask me to make a macbook cake for his graduation party. I think it turned out really well.

Recital Time

These were cupcakes I did for my beautiful wife’s recital for her piano Students. They were very cute and very colorful.

Wedding Day

My wife Christy’s Grandma got married today. I made the wedding cake (my first wedding cake) and the groom’s cake. I was very please with the way they both turned out. Congratulations Rose and Steve!

I am not a big fan of cake toppers, but they wanted one. So, here is a picture of the cake without the topper.

Here is the Groom’s cake. Steve plays the guitar in a gospel music group and the wedding colors were purple and yellow.

Quack Quack

One of my friends from work, who happens to be one of my biggest fans and an amazing spokesperson for KC Cakes, ordered this cake for her friends baby shower. It was chocolate cake and KC Cakes Specialty Icing.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!

Every year for Dr. Seuss’s birthday the school where I teach orders a birthday cake for the teachers to eat. This year they asked me to make the cake. I really think it turned out cute.

One of our very dear friends gave up pizza. So, I made her a pizza cake for her birthday.

Seeing spots

One of my biggest fans ordered this cake for her niece’s birthday. It was chocolate cake with peanut butter icing.

One of my former students from many years ago asked me to make a cake for her daughter’s 2nd birthday. The theme of the party was pizza. I am very proud of this one!! I think it is my new favorite.

It is white cake with Specialty Icing. The toppings are cake, fondant and white chocolate.
