Death Star

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I had my first paying customers this weekend. The boy is in my class at school and is crazy about Star Wars. So, he wanted the Death Star for his cake. I think it turned out pretty good. If I do say so myself. It was a white cake with chocolate butter cream icing and was completely covered in gray fondant.

Mamaw's Birthday

Monday is my wife, Christy's, Mamaw's Birthday. We all got together and celebrated her birthday tonight. This is the cake I made for her. It is a new one. My family always gets to be the guinea pigs for my new cakes. This one was peanut butter cake with peanut butter icing. There is an entire jar of peanut butter in this icing recipe. (I didn't use it all on the cake though.) The cake also had pink and purple fondant flowers on the top. It was super delicious!!

Cupcakes

These are cupcakes that I made for Christy's Aunt Judy's Birthday last Saturday. It was a last minute thing and I think they came out really cute and very yummy. They were a new flavor I came up with, Oreo. It is white cake with Oreo bits in it.

Welcome to KC Cakes

Welcome to KC Cakes. I named my cake business for my beautiful wife and daughters. The K is for Karisse my oldest daughter and the C is for Christy and Callie, my wife and youngest daughter.
I am just starting on this adventure. I have my first paying customers this weekend. I am very excited about it. I am making a Star Wars Death Star cake for a 7 year olds birthday. I will post pictures later.

Here are a few of the cakes I have made most recently.

This was for our friends Teddy and Kristen's baby shower for baby Daisy.

This was for my mother-in-law's birthday.

This was to celebrate our friend Algie's basketball team winning District.
