Today is my mother-in-law’s 50th birthday. We had a surprise party for her last night. She loves to quilt so this is what I came up with. I am very proud of how it turned out and I have a new appreciation for quilters. It is a peanut butter cake with peanut butter icing and lots of fondant (cause she loves fondant).

Catch up time!!
I am behind again as usual. So, Here is a catch-up post.
My Beautiful wife Christy turned 30 on January 9th. This is the cake I made for her birthday party. It was white cake with specialty icing and lots of fondant because she loves fondant.
My wife’s Grandma turned 70 on January 4th. The party was kinda last minute so I only had time to make cupcakes, but they turned out very cute.
We have a young friend whose birthday is the day after Christmas. She also happens to LOVE nativity scenes. So, this year she wanted me to make her a “Baby Jesus Cake” for her birthday. It is chocolate cake with Specialty Icing and the figures are all made of fondant.

Dessert Anyone??
If anyone needs a dessert for Christmas dinner or a holiday get-together, cakes are always a hit. I could make a layer cake with different fillings and your choice of icings. My personal favorites are blueberry cake with cream cheese icing and the chocolate cake with raspberry filling and cream cheese icing. There is also carrot cake, red velvet cake, peanut butter cake, etc.... Email me or call.

Daisy Cake
Our friend Emma wanted a daisy cake for her 8th birthday. I think it turned out really cute. It is not the best picture because I forgot to take a picture before I left the house so I had to take it with my phone.

Sullivan East Cross-Country
Two of our great friends are the cross-country coaches at Sullivan East High School. This year they were the Three Rivers Conference Champions. They are having their Banquet tomorrow and asked me to make this cake for the banquet. I tried a new technique to make the Patriot head and I am super excited about how it turned out. I will be using this technique often, I think.
