While eating Callie’s Birthday Cake today Christy’s Papaw had a comment I just had to share. The cake was part Chocolate and part white. He had eaten a piece of chocolate and Mamaw talked him into trying some of the white too. He said, “If it is better than the chocolate I think I might faint!” We all got a good laugh. He did not faint! His vote was that they were both good but the chocolate was better.

Callie’s 2nd Birthday
I just finished the cake for my youngest daughter, Callie’s, 2nd birthday tomorrow. (I guess it is today now since it is after midnight.) She said she wanted a princess party so we decided on a princess castle cake. I am pretty proud of how it turned out. The bottom square part is white cake and the top round part is chocolate. The whole thing has kc specialty icing.

Aunt Julie and Uncle Dave’s visit
My mother-in-law’s sister, Julie and her husband Dave were here visiting from Indiana a few weeks ago. They had never had one of my cakes so I was asked to throw something together at the last minute. This is the finished product. It was a funfeiti cake (because we had one in the pantry) and kc specialty icing. We enjoyed it with some super yummy homemade cream.
Ana’s 1st Birthday
My great niece Ana had her first birthday. She had a Winnie the Pooh party. She loved her cake. It was an oreo cake with kc specialty icing. The first picture is a little cake that was just for Ana. The others are the cake the rest of us enjoyed.
Another Baby Shower
A friend of ours was having a baby shower. The decorating theme was clothes on a clothesline. I think it turned out very cute.

Catching up!!
I have not been doing very well at keeping this updated recently. So, here are several posts all at once.
This was a birthday cake for a friends mom. She really likes the one I did for my mother-in-law. This was Chocolate with KC cakes specialty icing and fondant.
A customer sent me a picture of a cake that looked like a tree with leaves and deer heads on it. She wanted it for her sons graduation. She had the stuff to go on it and just wanted me to make the “tree”. This is how it turned out. It was Chocolate with fondant.
This one was for Mac’s 4th birthday. He had a magician for his birthday party. I think this one turned out super cute. It was chocolate with chocolate icing the ears were fondant.
Our church had a music camp called Camp Amp as our version of VBS this summer. The last night the kids did a concert and there was a reception after the concert. They asked me to make a cake for 150 to 200. I decided to do a guitar. It was half white and half chocolate with buttercream icing. I was very pleased with how well it turned out. Someone at church said it was so good they almost peed their pants. Maybe that should be my new slogan. :-)
This one is for a customer’s son’s first birthday. I think this is my favorite cake that I have made so far. I am VERY pleased with how it turned out. It was a white cake with KC cake’s Specialty Icing.
