Shower #2

We had the 2nd shower at work yesterday. She is having a girl and is doing the nursery in pink and purple butterflies and flowers. I forgot to take a good picture with my camera, but here is a picture I took with my phone. It is not too bad of a picture.

End of the year class party!

A friend of mine who is a teacher at a private school ordered this cake for her class’s end of the year party. Their class shirts were tie-dyed, so she wanted a tie-dyed cake. The inside of the cake was tie-dyed too. She took a picture after she cut it, it looks very cool.

   

Karisse’s 4th Birthday

Tuesday was my oldest daughter Karisse’s 4th birthday. We had her party on the Saturday before. She wanted a Barbie party, so I made a Barbie birthday cake. It turned out soooo cute.

Baby Shower #1

We have 2 women at work who are expecting their first child. One of them is having a boy. She is doing the nursery in animals and her dad owns Briarwood Safari, so I figured animals was appropriate.

Recital time

My beautiful wife is an amazing piano teacher. She is having her piano recital tomorrow afternoon and she asked me to make a cake for the reception after the recital. She is decorating with bright colors, so that is what we went for with the cake.

Volleyball anyone?

Our good friend, who is also my cake decorating mentor, ordered this cake for her daughter’s 15th birthday. She doesn’t do cakes anymore, but she gives me advise and pointers. Autumn is a great volleyball player, so I went with a volleyball cake. It is a chocolate cake with peanut butter icing.

 

The Latest Cakes

I have been really bad about keeping this updated. So here are the last several cakes I have made all in one post.

This is a Black Spiderman birthday cake. I think it turned out very well. This was for my first paying customer, who with this order became my first repeat customer. Thank you Merediths!

 

This was a hat cake for a customer for a wedding shower. I think it turned out great. It was a white cake with almond icing.

They added the flower when I delivered the cake.

This was a blueberry cake I made for our family Easter Dinner.

This was a Tom and Jerry Cake for my nephew Thomas’s 4th birthday.
